About the 2015 Education Summits
The 2015 Education Summits, held in New Hampshire and Iowa, will gather prominent elected officials and thought leaders to engage in public discussions on America’s K-12 education system. The Summits are an unprecedented opportunity to talk about the challenges and opportunities we face as we look to build a brighter future for the country’s 74 million children.
Sponsored by the American Federation for Children, the nation’s leading school choice advocacy organization, the 2015 New Hampshire Education Summit will be held on August 19 near Manchester, New Hampshire. The 2015 New Hampshire Summit is being hosted by The Seventy Four, a non-profit, non-partisan news website focused on education. Featured speakers will have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with The Seventy Four's Campbell Brown on a range of issues concerning American education. Confirmed participants thus far include former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, Ohio Governor John Kasich, and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
The 2015 Iowa Education Summit, also sponsored by the American Federation for Children, will be held in October in Iowa. The Des Moines Register, long the most respected journalism outlet in the area, will partner with The Seventy Four to host and moderate the Iowa Summit. The 2015 Iowa Education Summit will feature Democratic elected officials and thought leaders.
All speakers at both the 2015 New Hampshire Summit and 2015 Iowa Summit are invited in their current personal or professional capacities and will appear on stage separately.
Both the New Hampshire and the Iowa Summits will also feature additional programming, highlighting the voices and perspectives of experts and educators.
Stay tuned for updates.
